This is a very simple made and yummy desert, with only few ingredients. How ever the vanilla cream can bee a bit tricky for amateur chefs, since it is made off egg yellows. Instead of vanilla cream you can simply make vanilla whipped cream, with simply using cream and vanilla sugar and just whip it to cream. For vegan version, use Soy whip.
- 4 apples (Royal Gala)
- 4-5 Ginger cookies (Gluten Free)
- ½ cup Coconut Flour
- 50 gram Margarine
- 1½cup thick cream
- ½ cup milk
- 4 egg yellows
- 1 spoon vanilla sugar
- 1-1½ spoon sugar
Put the oven at 200 Degrees Celsius (392 Fahrenheit)Take a bowl and crunch the ginger cookies and put it in to the bowl, add the coconut flour and margarine. Mix it all together so the dough looks like small crumbs. Take a pie tin and fatten it with margarine. Put the crumbs in the pie tin so it covers the bottom.
Peal the apples and cut them in to thin nice slices. Put the slices into a bowl of water so they do not start to get brown. When you have dices the apples, put the slices on top of the crunches. Add cinnamon and sugar. Now put the leftover slices on top of the other apple slices that you just covered with cinnamon and sugar. Do the same with the left over slices you just added i there...
Separate the egg yellow from the egg white and and put the egg yellows in a pot. Add the cream and milk, sugar and vanilla sugar. Put the stove on low heat and the pot on it. Stir whit a whisk. Stir till the mix thickens. Be careful though, if you have the stove to hot and the mix gets to hot it can start to curdle and we do not want the cream to have something that looks like tiny crumbs of egg yellow pieces. When it has thickened so it looks like cream, put the mix in to a bowl and let it cool down. Then put it in the fridge to get cold.
